Dramatization

The amazingly seductively malicious voice of Paul Darrow (in his mid 70s!) returns yet again (with his other somewhat geriatric friends!) to tell yet another great story in the Blake’s 7 universe.

Characters in BOTH Doctor Who and Blake’s 7 appear in Kaldor City, which is Doctor Who canon, so the worlds HAVE to be connected somehow. I personally think Avon did a stretch of time as Kaston Iago in Kaldor City…or was that just Paul Darrow?

Blake’s 7 became Avon’s 7 in the two final seasons when Gareth Thomas just bailed out, and the last two seasons are much better than almost anything in the first two. While I liked Gareth Thomas well enough, who sadly died of heart failure in 2016, the truth is the audio material without him is better than with him. I hope Paul Darrow lives another 15 years and remains as active as the likes of his good friend Tom Baker. His is a voice that will never be replicated…Avon is the ULTIMATE bad boy…all the girls love him…and men want to be him.

Check out Paul Darrow in Kaldor City. He also plays a GREAT bad guy in the little known Doctor Who spin-off Minister of Chance.

I’m will say I’m quite sad that Jackie Pearce only makes an appearance in this final chapter of Crossfire, though. Her voice chills my blood! Servelan!
